Why can’t the clinic use medication that I bring with me?
Edited
Once a medication leaves the pharmacy supply chain and is transported by a patient, the clinic cannot verify how it has been stored or handled.
This means the dermatologist cannot confirm:
whether the medication has been stored at the correct temperature
whether the packaging has remained sterile
whether the medication has been previously opened or tampered with
Because the treating dermatologist is responsible for the safety of the treatment, medications used during procedures must come from a controlled and verifiable supply.
